Destination Wedding Photographer – Silver Spring MD
I’m so excited to be blogging Lindsay & Harrison’s wedding! My husband (Paul) and I met Lindsay & Harrison in 2013 when I was about five months pregnant with Penelope. We had decided that we needed to have a baby moon, so we booked a cruise to the Caribbean for some much needed rest and relaxation. I’m a huge fan of going to the nightly seated dinner when we go on a cruise, and this time was no different. Since me and Paul were traveling solo, we decided to do the assigned seating with other couples – we thought it would be kind of cool to meet other cruisers! That first night at dinner we met Lindsay & Harrison! These two are so incredibly awesome, and us four hit it off immediately! Lindsay is from Overland Park Kansas, which is kind of crazy, since a lot of my close family also lives there! Random! She’s also an incredible blogger – definitely check her out here – like right now! Harrison is pretty much the best realtor in DC, which isn’t surprising since he’s pretty much one of the most charismatic people we have ever met.
After meeting, we pretty much spent the remainder of the cruise together! Yes, there was one other couple at our table, but umm, we don’t like to mention them! LOL! Once the cruise came to an end, we all kept in touch, hoping to one day meet again!
Last year, when Lindsay & Harrison got engaged, they reached out to me about possibly shooting their wedding! I was beyond excited for multiple reasons – 1) We get to hangout with Lindsay & Harrison again, ah!! 2) We get to go to DC (me and Paul had never been) 3) We get to hangout with Lindsay and Harrison! (Did I already say that?)
We extended the trip by a few days to check out everything that DC has to offer. Since these two are so awesome, they invited us to join them on a night time party bus tour of the monuments, along with all of their close friends! Paul and I were welcomed with open arms – all their family and friends are so great, and we had one of the best nights we’ve had in a super long time!
Once the wedding day arrived, we all headed to the Silver Spring Civic Center! The whole day was full of so much love and excitement, and we where so glad to capture it all! One of my favorite parts of the day was the First Look! Lindsay looked dropped dead gorgeous, and Harrison was an emotional roller coaster when he saw her. It was such a beautiful moment!
Here are some of my favorite shots from Lindsay & Harrison’s beautiful wedding day!
